Etymology. The term Tribo-Fatigue is derived from τριβο () in Greek, meaning friction, and fatigue in French and English, meaning was first proposed in a letter of L. А. Sosnovskiy to K.V. Frolov on Septem This term was first published in It is included in the Belarusian Encyclopedia and the Great Encyclopedic Dictionary. New Directions in Tribology: Plenary and Invited Papers from the First World Tribology Congress, September by Hutchings, I.M (Ed) and a great selection of related books, art and collectibles available now at The tribology of hot metal forming involves a wealth of unresolved problems for the research community. There is considerable and growing industrial interest in these problems, which will require great ingenuity to solve. It is an intellectually challenging area that deserves more by: Wang, HW & Stack, M , Effects of velocity and applied potential on the erosion of TiN based PVD coatings in aqueous slurries. in Proceedings of the World Tribology Congress. This paper describes a numerical procedure for analyzing the dynamics of transient and steady state vibrations in a wavy thrust bearing. The major effects of the wavy geometry and the operating parameters on the dynamic characteristics of the bearing had been discussed in a previous paper; the present paper thus concentrates on examining the relationships between the development . Most machine elements, such as gears and bearings, are operated in the mixed lubrication region. To evaluate lubrication performance for these tribological components, a contact model in mixed elastohydrodynamic lubrication is presented. In: World Tribology Congress London.
